Outdoor Boot Camp #4


It is sweltering outside. Yesterday I wanted to go ride my bike for the first time, but when I left work at 5 there wasn’t a chance. It was around 95 degrees and rather muggy so I headed to the gym. It wasn’t much cooler in the gym, but at least the AC was on and we were inside. This morning I managed to get my butt out of bed at 5:10 a.m. to hit the outdoor boot camp. It was another good one, all body weight exercises. Below is an idea of what we did. It was a lot to remember at 5:45 a.m.

Four Circuits
3x through
1st & 2nd sets: 45 second
3rd set: 30 seconds

Circuit #1
Squats (hands behind head)
Steam Engines (Squat then bring knee up to meet opposite elbow)
Inch Worm
Jumping Jacks

Circuit #2
 Reverse Lunge (Arms overhead)
Mountain Climbers
Squat Thrust

Circuit #3
Forward Lunge
Crossover Reach
Jump Squats

Circuit #4
Side Lunge
Straight Arm Side Plank
Jump Splits
Squat Pulse

Ab Circuit
2x through
45 seconds each

Circuit #5
Straight Leg Bicycles

Circuit #6
Side crunches (1x each side)

There you have it. It was really warm, really early today. Clearly it’s going to be another scorcher before it cools down for the weekend. I’m looking forward to a great weekend with lots to do, including dog-sitting and pool time!
